Originally from Somerset, I have just finished studying in Liverpool at LIPA.
I have just started work as a full-time Production Technician at the Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool.
I have previously worked on shows at the Edinburgh Festival, and have also had jobs within LIPA, and for Adlite Productions (now Adlib Lights).
One of my recent challenges was to co-manage and light a production of Olwyn Wymark's play "Brezhnev's Children" which was performed in London by final year acting students from LIPA.
In June 2005, I finished producing a film which was coupled with an innovative set design, lighting, original music and choreography to produce a cathartic new work of dance. This was my Final Project at LIPA, and some pictures can be seen in my 'Gallery' section.
In the summer I was DSM for a performance of "Children of Eden". This show was rehearsed over 2 weeks, and had one day in the theatre to fit up, rehearse and perform. I came late to the project, having to cue the show after seeing only two runs. We suffered a partial power cut 10 minutes before the interval, and I also had to assist in dealing with the effects of this.
I enjoy all areas of theatre and live performance, and would be interested to hear from anyone who requires a versatile, hard working technician. I hold a clean full UK driving licence, and am able to travel between locations.
I have been Production Manager for four shows at LIPA, and have experience as a Stage Manager and DSM. I am often asked to assist with issues of projection in live performance at LIPA, and have used my knowledge of A/V in a major project (described above).
I have had experience with a variety of lanterns and lighting desks, including Strand 500 series and ETC Express consoles, as well as the WholeHog III. I have used High End Studio Spots and Studio Colors, as well as a range of Strand and CCT theatre lanterns.
I have a working knowledge of a range of sound desks and systems.
